09 Nov Meisner Lights the Night for Leukemia Society
November 9, 2018
For the 2nd year in a row, Meisner Electric partnered with Gilbane Building Companies to “Light the Night” for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Besides a fundraiser, the Light the Night Walk is a massive show of support and love to honor the survivors, patients, victims, and family members, who have been stricken with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease or myeloma.
Despite a warmer-than-usual evening, thousands of people from all over South Florida came to raise money to support the cause. Twenty-seven (27) Meisner team members accompanied by two canine friends participated in the walk held at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach.
Walking together, Meisner’s associates demonstrated their commitment by carrying colored lanterns to signify support for the cause (Red), celebrate survivors or patients currently fighting the disease (White), or honor those fallen victims who lost their battle to survive (Gold).
The mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is to cure these forms of cancer while improving the quality of life for the patients and their families undergoing treatment.
In addition to all our team members and families, Meisner wants to especially extend our gratitude to Megan Feeley for organizing the Meisner team and United Rentals, one of our Vendor partners, for donating generators and several light towers for the event.
