Museum Garage – Miami Design District
90 NE 41st Street, Miami, Florida 33137
Contractor: KVC Constructors
Architect: Timothy Haahs & Associates
Construction of a new seven story parking garage capable of storing 800 cars. The new garage features five distinct facades highlighting standalone artwork. Each facade boasts a unique lighting design assuring that the Museum Garage has a visible presence during both day and night. The garage features 20 charging stations for electrical vehicles, which included 14 “supercharging” stations and 6 standard charging stations. One of the unique challenges was the provision of a standby power system requiring an unusually tight footprint due to the location of the garage in the heart if Miami’s Design District.
